Description Work on projects and teams that are building next-generation platforms for the guest service industry.
If you have a passion for troubleshooting, working with firewalls, VMP, and AWS monitoring and alerting then we want you to join our team.
Responsibilities Work with other SysOps/DevOps team members supporting existing development, staging, and production environments ensuring overall security and reliability of systems.
Collaborate with other team members to improve monitoring, alerts, and automated failover, leading to increased reliability / reduced downtime.
Cost-optimize infrastructure while maintaining high availability and performance.
Collaborate with peers in other departments to ensure proper communication and handoff of team deliverables as needed.
Contribute to task prioritization within the Sysops team.
Develop and maintain overall network architecture.
Troubleshoot and diagnose customer issues, including but not limited to issues related to our software platform, networking, or firewalls.
Contribute to the architecture and implementation of our cloud software and web applications.
Continually improve the environment to minimize downtime and unplanned outages through disaster recovery best practices and implement self-healing measures.
Contribute to a healthy post-mortem process for continuous system improvement.
Research and recommend innovative technologies and approaches for enterprise infrastructure management, upgrades, or improvements, while adhering to technical or budgetary constraints.
Analyzes system requirements, including identifying interactions and appropriate interfaces between affected components and subsystems.
Act as Tier 3 escalation point for Support and Deployments teams and act as contact point in on-call rotation for system outages and case escalation.
Top candidates will have a variety of the following in their background and a desire to quickly pick up and learn any skills there are unfamiliar with below:
History of success working in a Datacenter Operations / Systems Administration background with an understanding of monitoring and alerting best practices.
Experience with Windows Server 2012 (or newer), Active Directory, and IIS.
Experience in network and firewall administration, including CDN/DNS/Firewall/VPN and Hardware/Software Load Balancing technologies.
Linux systems administration (Ubuntu / RHEL) preferred.
AWS cloud technologies (EC2, IAM, CloudFront, Route53, and VPC).
ElasticSearch stack (ElasticSearch, Kibana, Beats) or similar technologies.
Experience establishing and continuously improving monitoring and alerting.
SQL and NoSQL database technologies (PostgreSQL and MongoDB).
nGinX or Apache/Apache-Tomcat experience.
Infrastructure as code (Terraform/Ansible) designs for automation of infrastructure builds and deployments (or related certifications).
Familiarity with SecOps/SIEM Security practices (experience is a plus).
Familiarity with Continuous deployments, migration/rollbacks concepts (experience preferred).
Some scripting experience preferred with one or more following scripting languages:
Bash, Powershell, Python, JavaScript/Node.
JS, or PHP.
Familiarity with Helm charts and Helm deployment processes.
Familiarity with Jenkins, Ansible Tower, or similar CI/CD platforms.
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
