Performs entry-level service work maintaining and making simple repairs to County grounds, buildings, roads, parks, and other facilities.
Work involves the operation and use of light automotive equipment, less complex Public Works equipment, and hand and power-operated equipment utilized in road maintenance and construction.
REQUIREMENTS:
No formal training or experience is required.
Experience in landscaping and utilizing commercial mowers is preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment.
This is heavy physical work performed outdoors and involves exposure to dirt, dust, noise, fumes, insects, working in and around moving heavy equipment and traffic, and extreme weather conditions.
In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
