About Merritt Sqaure:
CMX Cinemas Merritt Square 16 & IMAX (formerly Cobb Theaters) offers high-back seats and 16 screens with the latest projection technology on curved high-gain screens, a digital 5.
1 sound system and IMAX technology.
The concession stand features all of the classics including hot, fresh popcorn, candies, sodas & more.
The multi-functional theater is also available to rent for movie screenings, birthday parties, corporate events and all kinds of celebrations.
Summary:
The General Manager ensures the team is consistently delivering guest service, food / beverage, and movie presentations in accordance with CMX operational standards and commitment to quality.
Assists in building and maintaining a team of A players who are empowered to regularly deliver WOW experiences to our guests.
Coaches and trains team members and Assistant Managers to be the best in their current roles and to be prepared to advance in their career as opportunities arise.
Regularly monitors FOH costs and works to ensure they remain within established guidelines while simultaneously maintaining quality.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5-7 years' Management experience in high volume theatre, retail, hospitality, or restaurant industries.
A blend of experience in both corporate chain and independently owned concepts is perferred.
Track record must demonstrate solid experience and knowledge in training and development, coaching and corrective action; guest service; business development -- driving/attracting business; P&L impact cost controls; quality standards; building relationships with staff, superiors, and guests - teamwork.
Possesses the entrepreneurial attitude and approach to thinking required to lead an emerging concept/brand (i.
e.
, sees big picture, embraces critical thinking, quest for continuous improvement, innovative) Ability to make decisions and take responsibility for them, even when there isn't a clear precedent or direction.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate directions and expectations to staff and management and has the sincere desire to build, coach, and develop successful teams.
Commitment to fostering an environment of superior guest service and quality, in which the team regularly strives to provide WOW experiences for guests.
Basic technical aptitude and computer literacy to include the ability to operate point-of-sale software, scheduling software, MS Word, and MS Excel.
