00 an hour Position Description 1.
The CNC Level II Operator is responsible for the operation and editing of offsets for numerical-control machines which includes:
press, mill, 5-axis mill-turns, and lathes.
He/she performs the following tasks:
Reads blue prints, sketches, job orders, and related technical data for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances and tooling instructions such as fixtures.
Utilizes gages for in-process inspections such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, plug and thread gages, bore gages, etc.
Rough cutting materials Sandblasting Deburrs and Polishes Parts Drills and taps holes as per instructions and drawings Changes inserts per finish and tolerance specifications Cleans machines 2.
Sets up, operates auto-operation band saws and drill press, including editing of speeds and feed rates; operates CNC Laser for production run jobs.

He/she assists with record keeping including quality control forms and cycle set-up times.

The position is responsible for tool changes including but not limited to insert changes 5.
The Operator maintains specifications and monitors performance by observing and measuring first-run part and sample work product; watches for equipment malfunctions; and informs his or her supervisor immediately when problems or defects are noticed 6.
He/she monitors stock inventory to determine amount available and notifies supervisor so that orders for stock can be placed.
Completes and maintains paperwork as needed.

The position maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; making minor repairs; adheres to safe operating practice by following safety procedures and regulations; and maintains his or her work area in a clean orderly condition.
8.
Assist in other work areas and perform related duties, as assigned.
