Key job responsibilitiesThe Manufacturing Engineer will lead a team of technicians through satellite integration operations and will support other final assembly and propellent loading activities.
This individual will work closely with other launch operations and satellite manufacturing teams.
The Manufacturing Engineer implements test requirements, designs and establishes the payload processing facility satellite integration work cell, supports facility and equipment planning, authors procedures, implements process controls, and supports continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate is comfortable in a highly technical and collaborative setting and is able to interpret technical requirements and turn them into actionable steps.

A day in the lifeThe satellite integration Manufacturing Engineer will spend the majority of their day on the shop floor leading their team through satellite to dispenser mating operations.
They will work with other engineering teams, quality, and manufacturing teams to set up and maintain the satellite integration equipment.
They will address root cause of failures and issues, and implement production control and optimization strategies.
They will implement engineering best practices in a safe and repeatable manner, implement efficiency improvements and reduce non-conformances.
The satellite integration Manufacturing Engineer will have experience in space hardware integration and test, with particular focus on handling flight hardware or lifting and rigging systems.
