We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inspector III to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our mechanical components through meticulous inspection processes.
Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed inspections of materials according to specified inspection plans, including dimensions, part marking, and traceability.
Thoroughly review all documentation supplied for hardware acceptance against engineering requirements.
Perform first article reviews and receiving inspections, providing critical feedback to engineering and procurement teams.
Document and report any discrepancies, contributing to the resolution process.
Estimate inspection times accurately and assist in maintaining and tracking the calibration of inspection equipment.
Engage in process improvement initiatives and maintain strict configuration control over files and job records.
Uphold safety standards within an industrial environment.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 7 years of experience in receiving or dimensional inspection, preferably within the aerospace sector.
Proficient in GD&T principles as per the ASME Y14.
5M-1994 standard.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information professionally.
Skilled in the use of precision hand tools, gages, optical comparators, and surface plate work, with the aptitude to select appropriate tools for various inspection tasks.
Comfortable with the use of personal computers.
Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills, capable of prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
A proven track record of building trust and maintaining positive, professional relationships, contributing to an inclusive workplace culture.
