INTERNSHIP - Systems Analyst- Summer 2019

Job Summary: Performs obsolescence analysis tasks associated with the research and analysis of supportability posture for Range system components using software tools and methodical analysis techniques; resolution of Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) issues on LTRS.

This is a Contingent position.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Performs systems analysis and research activities on LTRS Range system hardware to identify alternate sources of supply and/or repair in the Federal system or the commercial market to ensure continued supportability and mission success; develop graphics and narrative reports that effectively communicate analysis results and recommended mitigation strategies to the Customer
  • Performs detailed research of all potential after-market sources of supply for obsolete Range line replacement units (LRUs) required to support LTRS mission support and uses MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access and Outlook) to report analysis results to the Customer
  • Performs logistics assessments of obsolete Range systems and coordinates with Sustaining Engineering functions to determine satisfactory form/fit/function/interface (F3I) replacements to replace the obsolete parts and initiate the appropriate documentation for coordination of Government approvals
  • Resolves Customer supportability concerns with research and analysis of potential mitigations
  • Evaluates technical documentation (electrical specifications, Engineering drawings, vendor data, etc.) to build DMSMS case data package in support of Engineering F3I case studies and resolutions
  • Researches, analyzes and reports on emerging negative sustainment trends to help coordinate with Sustaining Engineering principals for corrective actions needed to ensure continued mission support capabilities
  • Work closely with LISC Worst Actor Team and other analysts to support all monthly and quarterly analysis reporting product requirements
  • Actively research commercial/vendor end-of-life notices to support mitigation efforts prior to LTRS impacts
  • Conduct routine and special sparing analyses, risk analyses, and requirements evaluations

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
